“Key players in the biotech ecosystem are coming together to produce the best program for digital health startups.”

Jim Cooper

CTO, Braid Theory

Architect

The Program

Through a series of workshops, events and activities, we will address some of the latency issues around market traction for market entrants. Modeled on a Lean Startup methodology, 90 Days to Beta will take a deep and intensive dive into customer discovery, market validation, creating a value proposition, and identify product ecosystems and workflows. Startups will meet with key decision makers to identify needs, problems and pains. 90 Days will culminate in an industry pitch event.

Each program module will be taught by an industry expert. Each team will be paired with a domain experience mentor uniquely matched to the startup.

Program Presenters

Introducing The Minimal NYC. An app that connects you to people who are willing to trade lives. For real. Ever wonder what it’d be like to be a music teacher in Nashville? A children’s book illustrator in Brooklyn? A human rights activist in DC?

It’s a social network that facilitates real life swaps: you go to someone’s city, live in their home, hang with their friends and family, do their jobs, attend their events and activities. Yes, it’s totally intense… and it’s totally thrilling. Call us crazy, but we don’t think the best memories are made in the comfort zone.

Come check us out at the party (and sign up for The Minimal NYC account at one of our stations while you’re at it). Bottom line: it’s a startup launch. Good times will be had by all.

FAQs

Q1

Do we have to be in LA?

A. What would be better than spending the summer at the LA Waterfront? To ensure the most comprehensive, awesome experience, we require that your startup team attend weekly residential sessions - 12 in total, for the duration of the accelerator program.

Q2

What if the team is only me?

A. While we will accept a single team participant, it’s highly preferable for two members to participate in the program. If your startup is only you, maybe we can assist you in finding a cofounder.

Q3

What's the cost?

A. By creating a cohort-based program that combines group workshops and roundtable discussions with one-on-one industry mentoring, we can offer a rate of only $2,000 for one attendee or $2,900 for a team of two. This is way cheaper than an MBA program!

Q4

What if we're not in digital health?

A. If your startup is biotech-adjacent, apply and we will let you know if you're a fit. Otherwise, we’ll ask you to hold off for one of our future 90 Days to Beta programs in other exciting fields such as transportation and smart cities!

Q5

Why isn't the program free?

A. There are many free programs to help startups, but as the saying goes, “you get what you pay for.” If you want expert advice, mentors with extensive domain experience, and a cohort filled with startups like you, choose 90 Days!  You'll finish with a beta-version product and an investor-ready pitch deck.

Q6

Why aren't you paying me?

A. So you want to give up part of your company? Just checking. While trading equity for advice seems standard in the startup world, that’s not the strategy we employ. We want to make sure that you’re market and investor ready. We are supported by investors who understand that our accelerator program generates more successful outcomes.

"Braid Theory is helping us in expanding our verticals and learning about new industries that we aren't currently  looking at."
